Welcome to the National Association of Practising Psychiatrists (NAPP)
NAPP is dedicated to the maintenance of quality mental health care for all, and has a proud history of advocating for sensible policy formation. You can see more about our Objects here.
NAPP was formed in 1996 by many concerned psychiatrists who saw an increasing emphasis on cost-cutting and managerialism becoming a danger to effective care of their patients. Political advocacy on behalf of patients and psychiatric professionals became an enduring priority. See details in our section on Issues and Media Releases. We also provide answers to many commonly asked questions in FAQ.
We have various items available for download in the printer friendly PDF format. These files require Adobe Reader for viewing and are identified by the logo. You can download the free Adobe Reader software here (opens in a new window).
